Intel plans to enter the smart device market to create a universal computing concept

According to foreign media reports, Intel plans to enter the smart device market. The company is seriously studying how to provide software and hardware for smart devices such as digital TVs, smart phones, car entertainment systems, and treadmills that people use every day.

These artificial intelligence devices can be connected to the Internet to provide people with butler-style services. At the recent Intel Developer Forum, Intel stated that it will use its own technical capabilities to create a new market called "pervasive computing."

The concept of "pervasive computing" is simply to use tens of thousands of networked smart devices to provide people with ubiquitous, anywhere information services. Intel hopes to provide chips and professional software to manufacturers that produce smart devices.

Otellini, chief executive of Intel Corporation, said that computing has become an integral part of people's daily lives. Intel’s vision is to unite all networked smart devices in people’s homes, offices, automobiles, and even pockets, so that these devices work together to provide people with more perfect services.

Future desktop computers will become the center of many homes and will have enough powerful functions to process and manage large amounts of data.
