Samsung produces 8GB DDR3 notebook memory

Samsung Electronics announced that it has officially started mass production of a single DDR3 SODIMM/UDIMM memory with a capacity of 8GB. This series of memory is based on 40nm level process 4GB capacity DDR3 memory particles, frequency 1333MHz, voltage 1.5V, mainly for the high-end notebook and mobile workstation market, compared to two 4GB memory capacity 53%.

Dell has announced the first to use this memory module, which will incorporate this large capacity memory into its 17-inch Precision M6500 mobile workstation configuration option, supporting up to four total capacities of 32GB. Other configurations of the aircraft include Intel Core I7 Extreme. Quad-core processor, NVIDIA Quadro FX 3800M graphics card, Samsung 256GB SSD or 500GB HDD hard disk, support the addition of second and third hard drives to build RAID.

In addition, the Dell 15-inch Precision M4500 will also support this memory, providing up to two 16GB configurations.
