The armature voltage, armature current, and excitation current of the European SSD590C DC governor are set via the DIP switch. These parameters of the Continental SSD590P DC governor are set via the menu. This is also the Continental SSD590C DC. The biggest difference between the governor and the European SSD590P DC governor, the software menu has not changed.

Here we take a motor with a DC motor type Z4-132-1 11KW as an example. The nameplate parameters of the motor are as follows: Armature current 29.6A, Armature voltage 440V, Excitation current 3.6A, Excitation voltage 180V
Based on the above parameters, we set the armature current to 29.6 (the armature current of the SSD590C DC governor has no decimal point, so we set it rounding). The corresponding DIP switch settings are as follows: armature current hundred square The potentiometer is set to 0. The armature current ten square potentiometer is set to the position of 3, representing 30A. The square potentiometer of the armature current is set to 0, so that the armature current is set to 30A;
Excitation current setting method (This setting is valid only when the excitation control mode of the governor is selected for current control): The excitation current is set to 3.6A, and the corresponding DIP switch setting is as follows: Excitation current ten-position square potentiometer When it is set to 0, the square potentiometer of the excitation current is set to 3, representing 3A. The decimal point potentiometer of the excitation current is set to 6 positions, representing 0.6A, and then added together is 3.6A, so the excitation current is set. Set as 3.6A.
Armature voltage setting method: the armature voltage is 440V. According to the armature voltage setting table in Figure 2, we can choose to set the armature voltage to 425V or 450V (when the governor is activated with a weak magnetic boost). Please remember not to set the armature voltage to 450V.) The specific method is as follows. From top to bottom, we set the switch position to 0010 (425V) or 1100 (450V), and the switch position is from top to bottom. Followed by: left and right (425V), or right, left, and left (450V).
