UHV demonstration project: peak transmission of main transformers

The expansion project of the UHV AC pilot demonstration project was a key production project for the company in 2011. The engineering construction time is tight, the task is heavy, the difficulty is great, and the requirements are high. The development and supply of UHV equipment is the key to controlling the progress of the project. Among them, UHV main transformer transportation is an important part of equipment supply. The first is a large number of equipment (a total of 10 units, 8 at Nanyang Station, 1 at Jindongnan and 1 at Jingmen Station). The second is the difficulty of transportation. Because of its large size, it cannot be transported by rail, and waterways and roads must be used for joint transport. The coordination of road transport is extremely difficult; several bridges need to be reinforced; to ensure that a target with a three-dimensional collision below 1g is reached, the speed must be controlled at 10 km/h. Within hours, it is difficult to control the duration and safety risks in the face of complex and extreme conditions such as rough seas, high-temperature storms, rising water levels in the flood season, frequent passage locks, and high-speed road changes. The third is a long period of transportation. The maximum sea transport mileage is 606 nautical miles, the waterway transportation mileage is 1057 kilometers, and the road transportation mileage is 575 kilometers, which takes about 35 days.

At present, all work of the expansion project is being pushed forward with full force and has entered the peak period of electrical installation. The period of July-August is the key period for the centralized transportation of UHV main transformers. In particular, the transportation of six UHV main transformers will be organized in July. At present, there are three UHV transformers in operation. In order to ensure the controllable, in-control, and absolute safety of each main transformer, the UHV Construction Department attaches great importance to the large-scale transportation work and puts it on the agenda of the company. It also cooperates with the company's materials department, exchange branches, and the State Grid Logistics Center. Local companies such as companies in Henan Province have taken various measures to increase the depth of control and protection. The first is to hold six UHV main transformers centralized transportation coordination meetings, clarify the goals and overall requirements, carry out work deployment and comprehensive mobilization. The second is to conduct in-depth preparations for transportation, strengthen review of transportation plans, ensure that transport equipment is in good condition, conscientiously implement spare parts configuration, increase investment, and ensure that special requirements for simultaneous transportation of two UHV transformers are met and adequate backup is considered. The third is to draw up backbone forces and set up an on-site command center to coordinate and centralize and control the work of the main transformer transportation. The fourth is to strengthen the on-site guardianship, require relevant responsible persons to command before, focus on the equipment lifting (ship), road transport and other key aspects of the key witnesses and the entire process of monitoring, to ensure that each UHV transformer is safe, on schedule to arrive at the scene.
