LG continues to expand OLED production line will soon completely replace LCD panel

By the end of next year, LG Display will significantly increase its own production of OLED display panels, from the current 34,000 to 59,000 to 60,000. This time, LG's expansion has invested more than 850 million U.S. dollars, and it has only transformed the original LCD production line into an OLED production line. In addition, LG Display will also invest an additional 263 million US dollars in the production of flexible OLED panels.

OLED is everywhere

Currently on the flagship smart phone, OLED display has been very common, and now this new type of display panel has expanded from smart phones to high-end full-size TV products. However, current large-scale OLED panel production processes and costs are relatively high, so there are some difficulties.

However, with the investment of LG Display, besides being able to increase the output of OLED, it also accompanies the decline of LCD display panel. Earlier this month, Panasonic had already announced the suspension of LCD production in Japan, and began purchasing OLED display panels from LG Display. It is believed that with the continuous development of the entire OLED panel market, OLED will become mainstream in more and more areas.
