Main structure and working principle

The instrument is primarily composed of a mechanical stretching device, a temperature control system, and a liquid crystal display.

1. Mechanical stretching device driven by a low-speed motor, which operates through a gear box to drive a rack and pinion mechanism. This allows the device to move back and forth between two ends. The transmission system includes a shifting mechanism that enables two different stretching speeds: 50 mm/min and 10 mm/min, offering flexibility depending on the test requirements.

2. The temperature control system consists of components such as compressors, condensers, fans, heaters, pumps, and water tanks. The system circulates water through the pump, heating it to a range of 5–50°C. An adjustable thermostat ensures precise temperature regulation for accurate testing conditions.

3. The ductility liquid crystal display provides real-time data, showing the extension length of three test samples simultaneously. It also automatically calculates and displays the average value of the three specimens, improving efficiency and reducing manual calculations.

This advanced design ensures reliability, precision, and ease of use in asphalt testing applications, making it an essential tool for engineers and technicians in the field.
