[High-tech LED News] Osram Labs has announced new results in OLED research. The brightness is 1000cd/m2, the color temperature is about 4000K, and the OLED light efficiency is up to 87lm/W. Osram is currently undergoing pilot production testing and is evaluating its feasibility.
According to reports, this value is obtained by integrating sphere measurement. Without output coupling, the output coupling can propose more light from the light-emitting device, which will optimize the measurement results. The OLED sample is uniformly distributed by using a special injection electrode on the light-emitting surface, so that a uniform optical density can be obtained at each angle.
Osram specifically pointed out that OLED light efficiency and brightness are highly correlated, and the light efficiency measured at 5000 cd/m2 brightness is about 75 lm/W.
