At CES 2018, a wide range of cutting-edge technology will be on display, with TriLumina set to make a significant impact. The company is expected to unveil its advanced 3D solid-state LiDAR system, which incorporates 3D-inductive VCSEL illumination. This innovative solution is designed to support the development of ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) and autonomous driving by offering a high-performance, low-cost LiDAR platform for automotive OEMs. With large-scale deployment in mind, this technology is positioned to accelerate the adoption of self-driving vehicles.
A visual representation of TriLumina’s 940nm VCSEL lighting and 3D LiDAR system will be featured in the event's coverage. The demonstration will take place at TriLumina’s Westgate Hotel suite and the Leddar Ecosystem Showroom, where visitors can see the full capabilities of the new solid-state LiDAR system.
The company will also showcase multiple applications of its 940nm VCSEL lighting module, including integration with the LeddarTech 3D LiDAR platform. This collaboration highlights a highly optimized reference design that leverages TriLumina’s patented Leddar digital signal processing algorithms. These innovations are aimed at delivering reliable, cost-effective, and high-performance LiDAR solutions to the automotive industry, supporting the growth of ADAS and autonomous driving technologies.
In addition to the LiDAR system, TriLumina’s new 3D induction lighting module will be on display. Utilizing patented high-density VCSEL arrays, the module enables a variety of 3D sensing applications, offering cost-effective and high-performance lighting options. The use of monolithic microlenses further reduces size and cost, making the technology suitable for both consumer and industrial applications. The lighting modules can be used for flying, flash, or layout light, showcasing their versatility.
Brian Wong, CEO of TriLumina, shared his insights: “TriLumina’s VCSEL lighting modules are breaking through some of the biggest challenges in various industries. By combining our patented reverse-emitting, flip-chip VCSEL arrays with custom drive circuits, we’re delivering a comprehensive range of lighting solutions that are both efficient and high-performing. The 3D solid-state LiDAR systems showcased at CES 2018 reflect our commitment to innovation and demonstrate how our laser technology can be applied across multiple markets.â€
