Good afternoon, everyone.
It's a great honor to be here at the first International IC E-commerce Credit Forum. E-commerce has become a vital part of global trade, offering cost-effective and efficient solutions across borders. Online transactions have now become an essential part of our daily economic life. As the largest online trading hub for electronic components and jewelry in China, Shenzhen boasts a large online population, a strong economy, skilled technical professionals, and advanced infrastructure. Moreover, the city has been actively promoting e-commerce through supportive policies, with new players like China’s e-Supplier Network bringing fresh energy and innovation to the sector.
As a public welfare research institution under the Shenzhen Municipal Market Supervision Administration, the Shenzhen Institute of Standard Technology focuses on standardization research, services, and application. We have made significant progress in building an e-commerce credit system, laying a solid foundation for industry standardization.
Wang Dawei, Vice President of the Shenzhen Institute of Standard Technology, highlighted the importance of the "Shenzhen E-Commerce Enterprise Standards Alliance." This initiative is continuously refining the e-commerce standards in line with local development needs, accelerating the establishment of integrity systems, certification processes, transaction protocols, product coding, electronic documentation, and key areas such as e-exchange, online payments, and consumer protection. By leveraging the technical strengths of leading enterprises, the alliance promotes resource sharing, industrial chain optimization, and the creation of national and international standards.
The alliance focuses on promoting collaboration among members, supporting government policies that foster e-commerce standardization, and enhancing collective competitiveness. It encourages the adoption of international standards, facilitates the development and promotion of Shenzhen-specific e-commerce standards, and works to elevate these standards to national or even global levels. The alliance also serves as a platform for information exchange, training, and cooperation, helping members make better use of their resources and maintain good relationships with consumers.
To date, more than 10 national e-commerce standards have been proposed, including the “E-Commerce Theme Identity Certification,†which aims to standardize e-commerce credit qualifications. Companies like China’s e-Supplier Network have played a key role in this process, significantly improving the overall quality of Shenzhen’s e-commerce environment.
Since 2008, we have been closely following e-commerce standards. We understand the current state of e-commerce in Shenzhen and across China, and are aware of existing challenges such as incomplete standard systems, poor coordination, limited international integration, low market adaptability, and insufficient awareness. These issues require joint efforts from the Shenzhen Institute of Standard Technology and all participants to address.
The future of Shenzhen’s e-commerce industry looks promising. I hope that your businesses will continue to grow and thrive through online transactions.
Thank you!
