This time, I'm going to evaluate Samsung's latest generation of 65-inch QLED QD TV, the Q8C. As soon as I heard about it, I was thrilled. During my trip to South Korea, I was impressed by the Samsung Qu Ping TV I saw in the shopping mall. The exquisite and vibrant screen, combined with its incredibly narrow and sleek design, left a lasting impression on me.
The Q8C has a massive 65-inch body, so it took quite a bit of time to finalize the installation details, including hole spacing and brackets. I even requested a unique easel-style bracket from Samsung to enhance the viewing experience in various settings.
Today, the TV finally arrived. It was raining heavily—really heavy rain. The delivery guy was struggling, saying, "Buddy, you're too big. I can't carry it down by myself." So, my dad and I carried it down together and struggled to get the Q8C upstairs. It's indeed huge, especially when trying to take pictures.
It's so big that it looks like a wall in the living room.

The exterior of the box is marked with 4K. With larger screens, the distance between pixels increases, making 4K an essential requirement to ensure sharp images (of course, matching it with a 4K source is ideal).
The back view is stunning. Even though I had seen pictures online before opening the box, seeing it in person was still breathtaking. The alloy finish is intricate and smooth, truly a work of art.
I couldn't wait to see what was ahead. The sheer size of the TV is overwhelming. "Big" doesn't even begin to describe it. It's almost immovable.
One Connect also uses metal wire drawing technology and remains luxurious. It’s understandable why this arrangement is chosen. With a curved screen, maintaining a slim profile is crucial to achieve a seamless design. Thus, it makes sense to have HDMI, USB, and cable ports on the One Connect module.
From left to right, there are 3 USB ports, 1 Ethernet port, 1 optical output, 4 HDMI inputs, 1 cable TV input, and the One Connect (Intelligent Hub) and power connector.
Optical output might be confusing for some. Before reviewing Sonos at Lou Lou's house, I learned that audio output to speakers relies on the TV's optical fiber.
Next, I found the One Connect in the package. It looks like this.
Although it's a thin cable, it doesn't take up much space and is almost transparent, making it easy to hide in home designs.
Let’s talk about the remote control.
The full metal texture gives off a premium feel.
Pressing the back of the black oval allows you to open the remote control for easy battery replacement.
[Image of the remote control back]
The main testing area will be in the living room, so the first choice for mounting is the wall-mounted telescopic support on my original TV cabinet.
After all the effort, the installation is complete. Throughout the process, my dad, mom, wife, and I were all involved, carefully ensuring no damage to the Q8C.
Lou Lou’s home doesn’t use cable TV. The reason is simple. Poor picture quality on a 65-inch screen is unbearable. So, we watch all live or video content through the TV app.
Trying out the default installed Mango TV, you can choose your desired programs. On the Q8C remote control, there’s a "home" button. After clicking it, instead of jumping out of the program source, a navigation bar appears at the bottom. This experience is still good, allowing you to switch directly to other applications.
Opening "Planet Earth II," I could already feel the effect of online videos playing on the Q8C. The colors are vibrant. Even though it’s late at night and the lighting is dim, the TV screen isn’t glaring. Later, I checked the data, and the Q8C has a light sensor that adjusts the brightness of the TV based on different lighting conditions to suit human eye sensitivity. This is similar to how mobile phone screens adjust. At night, when watching TV alone, I’m used to leaving two spotlights on to avoid glare. With the Q8C, even without turning on the lights, you won’t have to worry about straining your eyes.
Over the past few days, I’ve been sneaking a few tests. Watching videos every evening for about an hour, the switching speed between apps is smooth, with virtually no lag. While good hardware and its own system provide a smooth experience, it’s a shame that third-party Android apps can’t be installed. Considering Samsung’s powerful secondary development based on the Android system, it shouldn’t be too difficult to apply it to TVs. However, if you want to use other apps to view sources, you don’t have to worry about it. A few hundred bucks will solve the issue.
On weekends, while the baby and grandparents are swimming, I relax and enjoy the quiet time. After breakfast, I pull out the hard drive to check if the download of "Planet Earth" has finished. This documentary was recommended by Xue Manzi on Weibo last year. Sir David Attenborough, the father of natural science documentaries, is 90 years old and still travels the world for filming.

The photo was too hard to capture, so I found this popular online image. This might be the leanest bear I’ve seen. Due to global warming, the hunting season for polar bears is getting shorter and shorter...
Just like foie gras and red wine make a perfect pair, Samsung Q8C deserves such a classic documentary like "Planet Earth."
There are three reasons I love this documentary:
First, high-quality imagery. A set of footage may take 3-4 years of shooting with Full HD cameras, naturally resulting in top-notch quality. Good horses deserve good saddles. For instance, there’s a sequence where the tiger was filmed using an HD camera mounted on an elephant. The shot through the woods captures the tiger's impression. This segment, displayed on the Q8C’s curved screen, gives viewers a strong sense of immersion. Even the tiger’s face is clearly visible, with textures that are first-rate.
Second, attention to detail. "Planet Earth" is perfect for quiet viewers. In one episode, a spider builds a web downwind from the riverbank. From the first thread, it starts weaving a complete net to catch prey. Throughout the process, it encounters competitors. More than one high-definition video camera and radio equipment collects the entire process. Samsung Q8C can capture and display more details, with Dolby sound and bass enhancing the hunting atmosphere.
Third, liveliness. The hunting process itself is fascinating. In one scene, a polar bear sneaks up on seals and dives underwater. It’s amusing to see the polar bear peer through ice caves to spy on seals. Both the polar bear and the ice are white, but the Q8C’s high resolution captures the bear’s movements at any time, ensuring no exciting moments are missed.

After watching a set, it’s time for breakfast. A bowl of cereal with two puffs on the bar, and I pull out the Q8C to watch while eating. Weekend breakfast with TV, a perfect combination!

Oh, my baby girl is back. Time to grab the TV with dad… well, these precious moments are fleeting.

"Dad, look, I brought you some potato chips." Well, even the television gets a share of the treats.
Eating potato chips and watching cartoons on TV... This Samsung TV review was all about improving the quality of her daughter’s life!
After lunch, Dad said, "Last week, did she report at the nursery?" Of course, there must be...
"You sit, I'll show you."
When the phone finds a video, it appears at the top of the projected graphics, and clicking the TV starts the connection.
The 1080P video is projected through the mobile LAN and connected to the TV. The operation is quick and easy, with no noticeable lag. The children are full of energy after their morning swim. After a nap, they want to play a "dancing game."
Every time we play full of dance, I pick Bose. Although the BOSE wasn’t used during the evaluation, the Q8C offers much better sound quality than the TV I currently use. Although the bass effect isn’t comparable to BOSE speakers, the sound quality is excellent for a TV of this size. It’s easy to enjoy good sound quality.
Move with heart, eat and entertain yourself.
Mom usually likes to research new dishes. She generally uses a PAD app to learn. This time, things are different... because of this.

Purple matte alloy rod, noble atmosphere. Installation is not complicated; you just need to insert the poles, which are divided into right and left, so there’s no chance of inserting them incorrectly.

Screw on the side. Soon you’ll have three legs.

Move the TV to the bar, this is really cool…
If you usually do the West Point, looking at the tutorial here is generally more convenient.
Ah, the children came back to join us…
"Daddy, do you want to try it?" There may be such experiences as a child. Like to watch TV while eating, although parents always say this is not good. However, such experience is already a part of the memory of a happy childhood. Since I had my own home, I couldn’t meet the need to watch TV while eating because of the environment and all aspects. This is just enough to satisfy.
In particular, Dad, dinner time is often the time for news broadcasts. It often happens that Dad didn’t come for dinner because of watching the news, and the mother shouted there... Now there is no such problem. In the evening, drinking a little wine with my dad leisurely is not the only way to talk about current events and family atmosphere. Not to mention the Q8C this 65-inch big-screen guy, upgrading the experience.
Private space, exclusive Q8C
After reflecting on the experience of the past few days, I think we still want to move the TV to the bedroom so that we can use it without affecting the rest of the elderly and the baby at night. Since the bedroom has a TV cabinet and it is highly suitable, it is necessary to use this thing.

When you open the box, you see the big horns. Dad happily took over this task.

Just screw down the screw just behind the easel bracket and install it here. It’s easy to cover it.

After tightening it was lifted into the bedroom.

In the evening, taking her daughter to the restaurant for dinner, I quickly came to give a separate Q8C. At this time, it can be seen that although the light is dark, the TV will not be dazzling.
Today is just Friday. I’m tired after a busy week. I want to watch a movie in bed at night.
Open Q8C, APP resources are still quite many inside. "Wrestling! Daddy already has it. Click on the "small house" icon on the remote control, the abbreviated recommendation actually has had just released "Wonder Woman". There was no time to look before. It happened to catch up.
There was only a spotlight in the room at night. The light was not too bright, but the screen was not dazzling.
Gal Gadot, first saw she was starring in "Fast & Furious." Israeli descent, her face is clear and her eyes are deep. This is not my compilation. Everything is on the screen. Skin tone is natural on the Q8C. Just this period is a fighting drama, there is no obvious drag marks in the process. The texture of Gal Gadot’s combat dress is still clearly visible under different movements, and the movements are orderly. Such battlefield scenes also show a strong sense of immersion on the curved surface of the Q8C.

At 10 o'clock in the evening, the old man and baby are asleep. This is the time for me to really enjoy the leisure time with my wife. My wife and I both like to watch TV before bedtime. This is a long-established habit. It is a way to get yourself out of your busy daytime activities before going to bed, and you can fall asleep better. Recently, at the "Military Teacher's League," the quality and level of domestic TV dramas are constantly improving. Using the Q8C to watch videos like the HD version of the "Military Union" is a special enjoyment. The light in the bedroom at night is relatively gentle, and the Q8C’s sensors make light and dark adjustments based on the light. It is not easy to make your eyes tired.
Sima Yi's father, tears in his eyes, this detail has been shown by the Q8C, Samsung Q image processing engine is not unusual.
The evaluation time is not long, 2 weeks. Really will like Q8C more and more, the fineness and color of the picture are very good for the eyes. If you want to get a more extreme experience, you must definitely go 4K. 4K picture from the Internet DOWN to U disk inserted in the "black box", the screen about 1.5 seconds on the top feedback to detect the new device, click on the browse, the picture came out. The speed of such sensitive feedback must be related to the Q8C's four cores.
Open the 4K Grand Canyon photo on the TV at night and hope to further observe the picture quality. Because of the light in the image, the stone wall has a lot of light and shade. But unlike ordinary television, oversight is "blurry." The Q8C makes the oversight of darkness more clear. The naked eye observes from near to far on the screen, and the details are fully visible. This point of over-dark test, in the PS4 game can be more vividly reflected.
4K screen, the quality is really delicate. Photographs taken with a camera are lost, it is difficult to restore the actual effect, I dare say, the actual effect of the scene is much better than the picture. Another aspect of the screen is badness. The Q8C has a high contrast between light and shade, and black is black. Unlike many cheap TVs, the dark place is dark gray, or a mosaic-like paste.
Colorful but not boring!
To sum up:
Advantages:
1. The appearance is atmospheric and textured, with a B-grade look. A few days ago, when family friends visited, they said, "Oh, changing the TV, it's beautiful."
2. High quality, colorful, pleasing to the eyes. Day and night adjusts the brightness of the screen according to the sensor to protect the eyes;
3. Although the size of the 65-inch is not small, it won't make people feel bloated due to the slim design. However, it is recommended that big guys hang it on the wall or put it on the TV cabinet. I always worry that my daughter will knock it down. Although Samsung is closely equipped with stable accessories when placed;
Areas for improvement:
1. Mr. Ma’s father’s home is now more than 2W in price, and it is estimated that it will take some time for the popularity to obtain more powerful prices;
2. The limitations of the fluency of the self-contained system also bring limited application market APP. If you change to Android, the selectivity is much richer. Of course you can also have a TV box.
